This past week of awesome was … well, awesome.
Met up with my old high school prom date Kaity of www.kaitymartinez.net.
Knew this chick since dancing in the back of our Brooklyn Tech media classes, and her fervor and talent for dance and movement is really unmatched. Always connected since graduation, we finally met up to dance in what has been years but seemed as if we always danced before. We came up for some quick tutting-heavy choreography for Kanye West’s new single, “Power”.
Had so much dance left, we did some freestyle to Miguel Jontel’s “Sure Thing”. Watch Katy do her sexy thing, and watch me do my sweaty thing. =)
So much dancing awesome, and that was the first day we put work in. Tune in every Saturday or so to catch new things for us to dance to and post. Any song suggestions? leave in the comments and we’ll see if it’s awesome enough. We’re going to work on N.E.R.D.’s new single “Hot-N-Fun” with Nelly Furtado. Dopesausages.
So this weekend had a crazy time with my boy Arthur and lovely ladies Theresa, Kailyn, and Vicky. Had some wonderful linner at Green Papaya in Flushing,
some of the best Thai food in Queens. I took them on an Asian tour, complete with bubble teas (both Quicklys for the sweets and Ten Ren for the better tea) and bears dressed in bearskins.
And then we had a KTV adventure.
Pls take note, don’t go to Chinese Kareoke joints. Stick mainly to Korean ones, they know how to do KTVs properly. With newer songs, easier to use machines, better service, drinks, whatever, it just works. Chinese KTVs might look nice, but… just disappointing. Soju was kind of weird, with the tissues, and soft lighting and strobe lights… right Vicky? lol
As for what happened after that, just ask. Not the most legal thing, but let’s say that I’m probably not going to that KTV for awhile. or ever. It shall be a dark secret that we all share and hopefully never come back to haunt us =)
Today, I just came back from watching Inception with Resa yet again for the 3rd time, which I believe gets better the more I see it.
To be with someone who has seen it for the first time is also a great experience; the talk after and the theories and the gushing over such a fine movie is part of what makes Inception one of the best movies I’ve ever seen in my life.
Working on alot of new music, making new contacts, Symphony. is going to be great. Until next time, enjoy the wonderful week of August. To those soon to go back to school, I salute you.
