for the past 10 years, ever since 9th grade, I discovered with some high school friends this small hole-in-the-wall dumpling spot near one of the municipal parking lots in flushing, also near the spot to get on the van to Chinatown ($2.75 now… CURSE YOU MTA). No idea what this place is called, but I do know that for like, 6 years they sold 4 delicious, flavorful, moist yet crunchy pork and leek dumplings for $1. With the economy’s downturn, the prices soared to $1.25. In high school, for an easy and cheap (and totally unhealthy breakfast.. but it’s better than a DOUGHNUT) I’d scoop up a couple and be one of those annoying kids that ate on the subway… whatever jealous.
ok, its practically fried fat. whatever. its delicious. its near 41st and Main. nothing tastier for a dollar, better than those dollar dumplings under the bridge. It’s about flavor! FOR A DOLLAR!
it’s delicious. or how my people say, dericious.
